Significance of Salutations (Darood)

Excerpts taken from Hazrat Shaykh Talha Qasmi Naqshbandi Damat Barkatuhum’s discourses

Professor Muhammad Aslam Saahab (DB) is a famous Khalifa of our Hazrat/Shaykh (Maulana Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi (DB)) who has composed Hazrat’s lectures in (the book) Majalis-e-Faqeer. Allah Taala has granted him the blessing of companionship and service of the Shaykh and is a very learned and wise man himself. The responsibility of the Taaleem (teaching session) of Majalis-e- Faqeer is upon him in Zambia (South Africa). This year (3 years ago) during the teaching sessions he narrated an incident of his own. He had travelled with Hazrat somewhere, where a long meeting of some people was due with the Shaykh. Some amongst them in the room were very learned and had a good social standing. and there were some people along with Professor Saahab (DB) sat in the other room and they were waiting for Hazratjee (DB). The meeting in progress (of Hazratjee db) continued for long and these men had to wait for a very long time for Hazratjee to meet him. He says when Hazratjee returned from the meeting he said today all of you had to wait for a long time. These men responded saying no Hazrat we did not have any difficulty in waiting. Hazratjee said today I will give you a priceless jewel; a gift for this ‘wait’. These men became happy. The gifts of Allah’s friends are not materialistic or money, they are the material to make the hereafter, these men concentrated on what will Hazratjee give as a gift? Which jewel will he share? Then Hazratjee said “Whenever you are faced with a difficulty or a challenge, there is a lot of commotion, a work is stuck then send salutations aplenty (recite Durood-e-Shareef in abundance). This is that priceless jewel. The significance of salutations is that the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said one who sends one salutation on me Allah sends ten blessings upon him.

Allah’s blessings according to Allah’s greatness

Now our salutations will be based on our size(capacity) and Allah’s blessings will be based on Allah’s size (greatness). Allah’s blessing are based on Allah’s greatness. Understand this by assuming if someone goes to the bathroom and stands below the shower and starts it, (notice) how the water splurges all over? It splurges with speed all over the body such that it covers the entire body and nothing remains dry. Similarly, when we send salutations then we stand under the shower of blessings of Allah Taala, the blessings begin to shower upon us and when Allah’s blessing will shower, how can Satan come? It is our misdeeds that cause the hurdles, Allah cleanses them (misdeeds) and removes the hurdles. Therefore it has always been the routine of the friends of Allah to send salutations and to gain the benefits. Hazrat Maulana Hussain Ahmad Madani (  رحمة الله عليه) would usually advise his disciples to recite Darood-e-Tunjeenah or Tunajjinaa 313 times to ward away difficulties. The pronunciation is correct either ways and the reference of such a pronunciation is available in the Quran. This type of salutation (Tunjeena) is available in the books. It is written in the end of the reference book of the hierarchical tree (chain of spiritual connection from Shaykh to the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) of our Hazratjee (DB), it is the experience of many friends of Allah, yours truly (Hazratjee) usually advises his companions to recite Darood-e-Nariya. There are astonishing experience of its benefits. Elders have experienced different benefits of Salutations. Allah’s revered slaves have experienced Allah wards away the difficulties in earnings, challenges and health issues through the salutations.

(May Allah give us the taufeeq to recite Durood abundantly and understand the value of this blessing. Aameen)

Benefits of others are visible!

Excerpts taken from Hazrat Shaykh Talha Qasmi Naqshbandi Damat Barkatuhum’s discourses

Hazrat Mujaddid Alf Saani (RA) says any Momin (a person with Iman) cannot be complete in his Iman until he does not consider every person better than his own self. What is the way to do so? We perform an effort with shortcomings and all the efforts brought about by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, whichever effort Allah has granted us the ability to contribute towards, we should think our efforts has ostentation and show-off in it and our actions have lot of short comings in them. The other who is contributing to the other effort(s) is doing so with sincerity, he is better than all of us, a man always likes the business of the other in this world. This is a commercial area, everyone likes the other’s business, and do you know why? What is the reason, yours truly has for days and years contemplated on the reason of why this is so. Irrespective of the fact that the business is big he always says the other fellow businessman business is good, he always praises the work of the other, why? The benefits that every person yields from his work, he considers it his right and the difficulties of this business are considered as problems because he start experiencing these difficulties therefore irrespective how big a business Allah may have granted someone, others’ business is always liked. People who have the opportunity of working on multiple businesses never succeed in anything they do because soon as they encounter a difficulty in the business they start another one, every eleven months witnesses the start of a new venture just as there is new contract in the market for eleven months.

Business stability is the result of hard work and resilience, those who stop their efforts being scared of the difficulties never succeed and those who do not have another option are continue since they cannot do anything else with a do or die situation these are the ones whom Allah helps succeed. Thus a person who is too confident of his abilities does not succeed in the work of Deen too, (he claims) I will do this and I will do that. One who is humble says I am very weak and cannot do anything Allah. So and so is doing very well in his business and so and so has earned a lot of blessings and tread ahead in getting to heaven I am so weak and do not know anything beyond this (the work he performs), it is this man who Allah likes immensely and makes him succeed. To the least may we acquire the thought process of the businessmen of the world. The businessmen of the world can see the losses and difficulties of their own ventures and the benefits of others businesses. May Allah also make us see the shortcomings of our efforts and the benefits of others’ efforts. Deception occurs from here when we start seeing the benefits of our work and not the faults and we cannot see the benefit of the efforts being made by others but only their faults.

Our Hazrat (Hazrathjee D.B) states other’s faults are visible to someone who cannot see his own faults, one who sees his own faults does not see other’s faults. Since Allah Ta’ala has distributed abilities, a person cannot do every task. Allah has not given even his Auliya (friends of Allah) this state of unanimity in this day and age. This state of unanimity has left (the world) with the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. Allah has distributed abilities, it befalls the Ummah to contribute according to the ability Allah has bestowed on them. Beyond this, treat every work with respect and view everyone with respect too. Accept each effort, contribute to other efforts and do not oppose it, help other efforts, do not become a hurdle in their path.

May Allah give me and you the ability (to work in this manner).Aameen

Why did the Jews and Christians go astray? and two ailments…

Excerpts taken from Hazrat Shaykh Talha Qasmi Naqshbandi Damat Barkatuhum’s discourses

The Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said, “The kind of imbalance that will be born (in my Ummah) will be like the ones witnessed by Bani Israel, and Bani Israel were split in two sects. One as Jews and the other as Christians.” Jews are astray and so are the Christians. Let’s find out what were the reasons for them to go astray? Why did the Jews and Christians go astray? These faults were such that Allah mentions in Surah Fatiha if you do not strive to save yourself from these faults and wish to be saved from both faults (because of which the two sects went astray) until then your Sajda will not be accepted. The disease of which Surah Fatiha advises to cure ourselves from, if we continue to keep them inside us then how will the prayers be accepted? The Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said with regards to the Quran and its verses where there is a visible side to it there is also a hidden side. Come let’s find the visible and hidden sides of Surah Fatiha.

Allah’s Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said about Surah Fatiha “la Salata illa bi-fatihatil kitab“(Bukari & Muslim), I cannot dwell into the details, a simple translation for now is “without reciting Surah Fatiha the prayers are  incomplete.” Remember this note, the leader’s (Imam) recitation is sufficient for the followers (in the prayers), this has also been said by Allah’s Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم). Just as there are twenty boogies attached to a train, each boogie is not driven individually, the engine driving is sufficient (to pull all the boogies attached) and if each boogie occupant starts driving the boogie individually then what would be the end result? The entire train (all its boogies) follows the engine.  Does only the engine travel? Does the remaining part of the train (boogies attached) do not travel along? In the same manner, the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said without reciting Surah Fatiha prayers are not completed. It is not required that all of us recite (the surah) if the lmam recites it then it is as good as we recite it. It is sufficient and simple, so without reciting the words of Surah Fatiha the prayers are not completed, if we are behind an Imam then the Imam should recite, and if we are performing prayers alone then we should recite it.  However what is that truth that has been explained in Surah Fatiha?

What are the diseases that have been taught to be safe from? If those diseases are nurtured in the heart then how will the prayers be accepted? Then not just the prayers all other good deeds will not be accepted. Allah has especially taught to be safe from these two diseases and has taught (us) to supplicate to be kept safe from these two diseases. These are those very two diseases that had emerged among the people of Bani Israel. One disease emerged among the Jews and other emerged among the Christians and are so grave that Allah mentions whoever has this diseases is incurable. Now their punishment is that they will always fail in the world and humiliated, where ever in the world they stay, they will always fail and will be humiliated. The Jews have been punished for their disease (in this world). The Christians will be cured of their disease when the time arrives. However they are infected with the disease and therefore cannot be considered healthy until such time they are not cured. However their disease is not incurable. How will they (Christians) be cured and who will become the means of curing them? After the arrival of Prophet Sayyidna Isa (عليه السلام) and before his death everyone who is infected by this disease will be cured. Everyone will get Iman (become a muslim) and this diseased will be cured by Prophet Isa (عليه السلام). Yes, the Jews will not be granted health, they cannot be cured now, on the contrary their germs that has grown multifold and affected the entire humanity will be removed to save humanity.

Two Ailments and their Remedy

What were those two diseases that exist even today and the scholars have to treat them? One disease is “Love without knowledge” and the other is “Knowledge without love”. However the treatment of the former disease (Love without Knowledge) is easy. Friendship is sought, heart is illuminated and Hidayah (Guidance and blessing) is received. The latter disease, knowledge without love, usually leads to a dead heart, treatment for this does not happen, this is a Jew mindset, and former is a Christian mindset, are these not prevalent amongst us? This is the spirit of Surah Fatiha. Until these two diseases are not treated, Allah does not want such prostrations. Performing  lot of worship will not be accepted, before we perform Salah we have to treat ourselves, learn to love in the light of knowledge and acquire knowledge with the love for Allah.

The Jews had a lot of knowledge, they do even today. Furthermore, they are the drivers of the misunderstandings being propagated in the entire world in the name of knowledge and education. Yes, even today they are the drivers of the misunderstandings and this is no guess in any form. There are experts amongst them who are bestowed with unparalleled talents. However their hearts have fallen astray due to their wrong doings though they witnessed the miracles through of Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم).

The Jew Mindset

Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) has described the mindset of the Jews in the Quran. There has always been knowledge prowess amongst them. So much so that when the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم)’s prophet-hood was announced, the Jews taught the residents of Makkah to ask educated questions. Go and ask him (Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) who were the As’haab-e-Kahf? Go and ask him, “Where did Prophet Musa (عليه السلام) travel to?”. “Who did he go to meet?”. Go and ask him, “Who was the Zulqarnain of Allah?”. Who used to teach these questions? The Jews did. Allah has acknowledged their knowledge prowess in his last book (Quran) (Arabic Verse) . This is an acknowledgement from Allah of their knowledge prowess they certainly has immense knowledge. However even after being blessed with such depth of knowledge Allah has narrated their criminal mindset (Arabic verse). They used to kill the Prophets. Why? Because, the teachings of Prophets,  only depth of knowledge is not sufficient, they have to strive to create the love for Allah in the hearts and this was not acceptable (to the Jews). If the love for Allah was created in the heart then they would be led by someone, have to agree to obey someone which is something this community was not ready to do. The people who spoke of adjoining love with knowledge the Jews used to kill these Prophets. And even today wherever the way to the path of Allah is being taught and whoever is striving in the path of Allah, Who is conspiring to finish them? They (Jews) are. Where are the conspiracies to finish Islamic schools being made? We believe our parliaments pass amendments. Our representatives travel to their country, the ministers of our country travel to Israel, our policemen travel there. The entire world knows where from does these propaganda arise against the descendants of the Prophets. Allahu Akbar! This is the miracle of the Quran, the Quran had mentioned the name of the Jews stating (Arabic verse), “You will have to listen to very heart wrenching propaganda”, from the people of the book (Jews and Christians) from the hypocrites. This is what is happening in our times. This is the miracle of the Quran, the people of the book and hypocrites and especially the Jews and the hypocrites have great compatibility in their mindsets. Both (Jews and Hypocrites) the communities are struck with inferiority complex and their judgments are due very shortly in the courts of Allah, InshaaAllah (we) will not need to wait long.

“We ask Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) to keep us firm on the straight path that Allah (سبحانه و تعالى)  has opened up for us, we pray to Allah that he saves us from all the ailments and protect us from all the physical and spiritual diseases, and we seek refuge in Allah from the evils of enemies”. Aameen

A Life Filled with Love

The Prophet’s (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) glorious life was complete with shining examples for his nation to follow. He (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) once entered his home and saw Hadrat Aisha (radiyallahu anha) drinking from a glass. In fondness he used to call her Humaira and so standing where he was he called to her and asked her to leave some water for him as well. Despite being a prophet and mercy for mankind through whom the entire world was and will continue to benefit, The Messenger  (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) of Allah requested his wife to save him some of what she was drinking although he had no need to do so.

Hadrat Aisha (radiyallahu anha) complied and as the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) was about to drink he asked her the specific location on the glass where she had put her lips. Hadrat Aisha (radiyallahu anha) pointed to where she had taken drink from and hadith literature states that the Messenger (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) of Allah turned the glass around and applied his noble lips to the same location indicated by his wife and thence drank.

The world does not have a better example for all walks of life than the Messenger (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) of Allah. There would be no need to pressure a wife into obedience if all husbands were to follow the supreme example of love and family life put forth by the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم). If treated right with love and respect a wife will certainly do her utmost to please her husband. She will reply to love with love and to respect with respect. Couples need to discard petty jealousies and selfish desires and follow the true Islamic concept of marriage that teaches spouses to build a clean and loving life together. May Allah  (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) bless us all with the ability to build such beautiful lives together.

From where do people find time to hate,
When life hardly allows time for love?

Ignoring the Shortcomings

18921802_1876742592648970_5032349195860115315_n

Excerpts taken from Hazrat Shaykh Sayyed Muhammad Talha Qasmi Naqshbandi Damat Barkatuhum’s discourses

One of the things I want to bring to the attention of everyone is of diseases that surfaces eventually amongst generations, being an extremist (in nature) and not letting go of shortcomings. Any work that has numerous people involved will witness mistakes in some aspect or the other. Therefore one should learn to ignore mistakes and work together, InshaaAllah this has more Khair (Allah’s blessings). If someone bad mouth about Islam because of our mistakes then we request to not look at our deeds but the principles of Islam.
In a similar manner my friends, if I am associated with the work of Dawah (refers to Tabligh Jamat) and I make mistakes then it is my individual shortcoming, it is not the message of the Tabligh Jamat, likewise if I am a tutor at a Madrasa and make mistakes, then it is my shortcoming as an individual not the principles of the Madrasa and if I make mistakes sitting in a Khanqah, then the mistake is mine alone and not that of the Khanqah. The mistake we make is that we look at individuals and judge them on their efforts. An effort cannot be judged by the measures of an individual alone neither here, nor there or elsewhere. This mistake is being committed by all of us, may Allah protect us from these mistakes. Human nature is filled with mistakes and it is through the guidance of the Ambiya( علیہم السلام ) that these mistakes are corrected and a balance is acquired (between mistakes and corrective actions).

The significance of the Ummah(people) of Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alayhi Wa’sallam ) that has been said by Allah is that of being balanced, “We have made you a balanced Ummah”. Being balanced is a very significant attribute. The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wa’sallam) shared with us that, there will be mistakes, who will then bring the balance? No Prophet will arrive after the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wa’sallam). The Prophet (Salallahu alayhi Wa’sallam) said, “I am the last Prophet, there will be no prophet after me”. No prophet will arrive after the Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wa’sallam). It used to be the work of the Prophets to bring balance in an environment of mistakes, now if mistakes are encountered who will perform the work of bringing that balance. The Prophet (Salallahu Alayhi Wa’sallam) said there will be mistakes (in my Ummah) as they were witnessed in the people of Bani Israel. The work that has to be done (of correcting people), the work that was done by the prophets of Bani Israel of correcting people, who will do that? From amongst my people the Ulama (scholars of Islam) will do that work. God forbid, if the Ulama start making mistakes then who else will take up this work? Therefore, there is a need to first bring about that balance in the Ulama. They become scholars of knowledge in word and spirit. They become scholars of Islamic Jurisprudence in word and spirit. Yours truly normally says we consider the first one as a shortcoming (of not acquiring the knowledge of the book) and have ignored the other one (spiritual knowledge). If someone goes astray in Islamic Jurisprudence by the book then we consider it a mistake, it is indeed a mistake. If someone thinks that having the Quran and Hadith are sufficient for us to perform deeds by looking into it, then there are numerous lives in front of us that such people go astray and have become useless. These people become the slave of their desires. We consider a mistake in Islamic Jurisprudence by the book as going astray but we have left considering going astray in spirit is as well a mistake. This is a misguidance in our times.

Namaz cannot be performed with impurity everyone knows this rule. If the clothes are impure then one can wash them to make it pure, if the floor is impure then washing it makes it pure, if the cloth has been purchased with haram (illegitimate) money, will washing the cloth make it pure? If someone’s land has been acquired by false means and a masjid has been constructed on that land, will laying down the best of marbles make that land pure? If the heart has ill thoughts about Allah, if the heart is filled with jealousy, bad intentions (for others), arrogance, pretention how will these impurities go away? Namaz will be performed by washing of outer impurities (on the body) how will the Namaz be performed with impurities of the heart? One rule is to wash the outer impurities which is called Jurisprudence of the outer body, another rule is to cleanse the heart of impurities which is called Jurisprudence for the spirit (cleanliness of the heart). My friends, just as mistakes in the outer cleanliness drowns one, likewise mistakes in the inner cleanliness (of the heart) drowns humans. This (cleanliness of the heart and of the body) requires being associated with someone. One who gets associated with someone for both cleansing processes (body and heart) Allah makes him complete and then Allah takes work from him. All our elders were given great spiritual status in this manner. Those whose spiritual benefit is spread across the world. There is no country, area, or a lane void of these benefits (of our elders). These elders were also given such status through this way (of spiritual cleansing). They associated themselves with one of the elders for both the cleansing of the body and the heart. One who attain the status of having cleansed themselves these were called Ulama by Allah and let us know that these Ulama will have the responsibility to bringing to an end the shortcomings and mistakes and bring about a balance by correcting mistakes.

Unlawful Gazes – Tips for safeguarding oneself from the sin of the eye

The following are few tips for safeguarding oneself from the sin of the Eye – “Unlawful gazes” by Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi Mujaddidi DB

hipster_glasses-wallpaper-1366x768

  ۚقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ

Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest [Surah 24. An-Nur, Ayah 30]

وَقُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِنَّ وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest [Surah 24. An-Nur, Ayah 31]

Unfortunately, today, we live in a society where advertisement, billboards, newspapers, etc. attract us with obscene images. The west also attempts to destroy our faith by propagating the message of “SHYNESS is a SICKNESS”. It is difficult to save ourselves from this evil, as watching obscene images repeatedly destroys our modesty and makes us immune to obscenity.

‘Remember, if we do not cast veil over our eyes, then a veil will be cast over our hearts for sure.’

Below are a few steps of advice for people who intend to save themselves from this sin:

  1. While walking on the road, keep your gaze lowered in such a manner that just by the feet of passers by, one can get an idea if they are men or women.
  2. In Supermarkets/Ticket counters, etc., try looking for a counter with representative of your own gender. Avoid counters with representatives of your opposite gender.
  3. While Driving a car/riding a bike, keep your concentration on the road and vehicles around you rather than people on the road and in vehicles. It’s always possible that you might end up looking at a Non-Mehram seated in a car, bike or walking.
  4. NEVER look at Billboards/Hoardings while driving, riding or walking.
  5. It’s better to avoid passing through a street which has girls school or College.
  6. Always carry an Islamic book with you while travelling in a Bus/Plane/Train. This will keep your mind busy and help you against evil thoughts from Shaitan.
  7. When entering your own house, make an audible sound from your mouth, so that if there is a Non-Mehram woman present, she may cover herself.
  8. When you knock on someone’s door, stand away from the front of the door, so as to avoid coming across an unveiled woman.
  9. NEVER stay alone in the house & NEVER keep yourself free. Keep yourself occupied with some work all the time.
  10. Connect to the Internet only when it’s required. NEVER connect un-necessarily as an idle mind is devils workshop.
  11. When you happen to be at an Airport or an Office, where a television is playing or pictures of women are displaying, then intentionally sit with your backs towards it.
  12. During any Official work or essential shopping, if one needs to interact with a Non-Mehram, then do not look at their face. Just as two people who are displeased with each other would avoid looking at each other’s faces or eyes when required to interact under compulsion.
  13. If married, keep your spouse happy.
  14. During Tawaaf of Kaabatullah, keep your gaze fixed at your feet. Never raise your gaze during Tawaaf except for Istalam of Hajr-e-Aswad.
  15. Avoid gatherings/functions, if there is opportunity of sin. (eg., No arrangement of purdah for visiting women, music, dancing, etc.). If there is a fear that the relationship between you and the organiser of the function may be affected, then be the last to enter and first to leave the gathering.
  16. First of all, it’s best not to visit Picnic-spots. However, if required to go, then choose such a time and day when there would be minimum  crowd.
  17. Fast on the 13th, 14th and 15th of every  month as per the Lunar calendar. Also fast on every Mondays and Thursdays. If you are still unable to control your gaze, then fast on every alternative day.
  18. Visualise the punishment you might get for this sin of unlawful gazes. Imagine that your eyes are being pierced with hot iron rods for years and years together.
  19. Fix a punishment for yourself every time you end up sinning, e.g., offer 20 rakaat Nafl Salah for every sin occurred or give sadaqah of a certain amount. (Fix an amount that would possible prevent you from sinning again).
  20. If you  happen to cast a sinful gaze, lower your gaze immediately & recite istigfaar.
  21. Read the following Tasbeeh( Heart cleaner):
Capture(100 times in the morning and 100 times in the night)
  22. Wake up for tahajjud salah every day and pray to Allah that “O Allah! It is extremely difficult for me to prevent myself from sinning, but, it’s extremely easy  for you to save me from sinning. Oh Allah! Cleanse my heart and my eyes from the evil effects of my sins.”

May Allah protect us from all sins of the eye and make all acts which are detestable to Allah, detestable in our hearts too. May Allah shower His Mercy on those who were involved in the production and propagation of this work. Ameen

The Du’ā of forgiveness (Maghfirah) and Isāle-e-Thawāb

The Janazah salāh is also a form of Du’ā of forgiveness. If the one leading the janazah salāh and those following him  are faithful and beloved in the sight of Allāh then with the barakah of this Du’ā Allāh ta’ala forgives the deceased.

But there are few people who are accepted and beloved in the sight of Allāh such that when you read thier janazah salāh or make Du’ā for their forgiveness and Isāle-e-Thawāb for them, then due to the barakah of these who are beloved to Allāh ta’ala, he forgives all those performing the salāh and making Isāl-e-Thawāb.

The Durūd Sharīf [in a similar way] is nothing but a Du’ā of Mercy which is sent to Rasūlullāh salallāhu alayhi wasallam.
Huzūr salallāhu alayhi wasallam is always poured with the blessing of Allāh ta’ala‘s mercy.
Allāh ta’ala doesn’t wait for anyone’s du’ā for blessing his Mercy.
In fact for the one who makes du’ā of mercy for Rasūlullāh salallāhu alayhi wasallam, Allāh ta’ala blesses them in ten-folds.

قال رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم  ”  من صلی علی واحدۃ  صلی اللہ علیہ عشرا”(Hadīth)

In this way, giving Isāl-e-Thawāb and making du’ā of forgiveness for the those pious and beloved to Allāh ta’ala is a great deal of profit for us as well.
The nisbat of Allāh ta’ala i.e ‘ilm, ‘aml, ehsān, ikhlās, da’wat, and tarbiyah which he provides to the pious and his beloved, all of these are provided as a bounty for  one who gives Isāl-e-Thawāb.
This is why, all those related to the silsilah should make sure of giving Isāl-e-Thawāb on a daily basis.

The reason for stressing on this topic is because this lowly person’s Ustadh, mohsin-wa-murabbī, walī kāmil, Imāl al-ārīfīn, tāj al-muhadditīn, Khalīfā-wa-janashīn, Hazrat Shaykh Zakariyya rahimahullāh Ustadh al-asātidhā Hazrath Maulana Muhammad Yunus sahab (rahimahullāh), Shaykh-ul-hadīth Jamia mazāhirul ulūm, Saharanpur, Today morning passed away from this dār-fānī into dār al-baqa’. Hazrath marhūm spent his whole life in the service of llm al-hadīth with taqwa and zuhd and setting it an example.

No doubt that his personality (zāt) and his supreme qualities (sifāt) were of the likes of Razī’s sight, Rumī’s Ghazal, and Ghazzalī’s way of teaching coupled with Imām Bukhārī and Imām Muslim’s uncommon and unusual attachment with the Ilm al-hadīth along with Ibn hajr asqālnī’s expanse sight.

In this times of Qahat al-Rijāl, we don’t see anyone capable of filling this void of our elders(but for Allāh nothing is impossible).

With the blessing of Allāh ta’ala, we wish that when Hazrath marhūm will be placed in the abodes of respect along with Bukhārī, Muslim, Ibn majāh, Tirmidhī, Abū Dawūd, Ibn hajr, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Qayyim, Anwar Shah, and Shaykh Zakariyya (upon them be peace), We the students and their beloved one’s get a place somewhere in their footsteps, so that we also accomplish.

That’s why it’s necessary that we all make du’ā and send blessing for Hazrath marhūm to achieve the highest abodes.

Making an effort on one’s self

Man makes effort on sand [silicon] and makes microchips with value greater than gold. He makes effort upon metal and makes it fly [aeroplanes] what if he made effort upon himself, what spiritual heights he would also reach.
Nowadays the direction of our effort is on the outside rather than our inner-selves. That’s why there’s progress everywhere, the latest innovations are being produced, architecture of buildings becoming more adventurous, cars are becoming advanced as well. Take whatever, everything is getting better and better.
However, if mankind looks at themselves morally, they are declining.

[couplet] “The one who is always trying to discover the unknown,he could not discover himself. He who captured the rays of the sun,yet he failed to fill the void of his own life. The one who illuminated the world with lanterns failed to realise the darkness in his own heart. If there is darkness in one’s own heart, what’s the use of the light on the outside.”

The area of effort is not just materialistic. A person must also work on his heart so he can progress internally as well.

Allaah has placed beauty within us which we need to bring out. When mankind makes effort on mines, they extract gold, silver, diamonds and other valuables. Similarly if he makes an effort on his heart, then he’ll reap courtesy, humbleness, compassion, and piety. These are the qualities which make a person valuable in the sight of Allaah. This beauty is present in everyone. Allah has placed this beauty inside every individual.

Excerpts taken from Hazrat Shaykh Talha Qasmi Naqshbandi Damat Barkatuhum’s discourses
